About the Trust

Bishwanath is an Upazila of Sylhet District in the Division of Sylhet, Bangladesh. Biswanath Probashi Education Trust, is established for the benefit of the inhabitants within the present boundary of the Bishwanath Thana in the district of Sylhet Bangladesh. Encouraging and assisting educational development, within the area of Bishwanath Thana. Our main objective is to provide support and assistance to poor and meritorious students in particular through the provision of scholarship, bursaries and other types of financial objectives.

Some of the objectives of this trust:

• To encourage and assist educational development within the area of Bishwanath Thana
• To facilitate training programme for the young people
• To organise and hold literary and cultural activities
• To provide support and assistance to poor and meritorious students in particular through the provision of scholarship, bursaries and other types of financial objectives
• To establish and maintain link with other bodies with similar objectives

About Biswanath Upazila

Bishwanath is an Upazila of Sylhet District in the Division of Sylhet, Bangladesh. It has 26346 units of house hold and total area 214.5 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census, Bishwanath has a population of 169730. Males constitute are 50.99% of the population, and females 49.01%. This Upazila’s eighteen up population is 83794. Bishwanath has an average literacy rate of 30.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. Bishwanath has 8 Unions/Wards, 122 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 432 villages.
